# DIA

Meridian Finance's USDM stablecoin is powered by a custom price oracle provided by [DIA](https://diadata.org/), designed for robust, real-time asset pricing.

**Data Sourcing**

This oracle utilizes a high-frequency, 120-second data aggregation window and fetches data from a curated list of over 20 exchanges. You can view the feed’s data sources in real time on the [DIA APP](https://www.diadata.org/app/price/asset/Ethereum/0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000/).

**Pricing Methodology**

The price calculation employs the Moving Average Price with Interquartile Range (MAIR) methodology. For an in-depth explanation of the pricing mechanisms, consult [DIA's Technical Documentation](https://docs.diadata.org/products/token-price-feeds/exchangeprices/mair-moving-average-with-interquartile-range-filter).

**Update Mechanism**

The smart contract for this oracle employs a deviation-based update mechanism with a 0.5% threshold. Any price change greater than this value triggers an immediate on-chain update.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.meridianfinance.net/resources/technical-and-security/oracles/dia.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
