Meridian Swap, being an AMM DEX, relies on Liquidity Providers creating a pool of tokens where users can swap one token for the another. Each pool consists of two different tokens and it is called a Liquidity Pool Pair.

By adding liquidity, Liquidity Providers put an equal value of two tokens to make LP tokens, in return for this service, these providers recieve trading fees for their share of that LP trading pair.

How To Get Started

Add Liquidity

  1. Start by heading to Meridian Swap and click on "Connect".

  1. A prompt will be displayed in which you would need to connect your wallet (Metamask wallet is Recommended).

  1. Head over to "Liquidity".

  1. At the Liquidity Section, a list of pools in which you've supplied liquidity will be shown, to supply liquidity, click the "Add Liquidity".

  1. After clicking "Add Liquidity", click on "Select A Currency" a display page with a list of assets will be shown so you can choose the assets you wish to provide liquidity.

  1. A list of tokens will be shown from the dropdown.

If the token you wish to provide liquidity is not on the list, you can search for it using its contract address and add it to the list.

  1. After selecting the first and second token, choose the number of tokens you wish to provide liquidity. You can also click on "MAX" to max out. The other token amount will automatically adjust to the same value in USD.

The amount of tokens being supplied as liquidity are of equal value (in a 50:50 ratio)

  1. After choosing the amount to supply, click on "Enable" to authorize the supply of the pair.

  1. After enabling the pair, a transaction prompt will be issued by your wallet, in which you have to approve and sign the transaction.

  1. After enabling both tokens to be provided as liquidity, procced to supply liquidity by clicking "Supply".

Before proceeding to supply the pair, a prompt will be displayed below the "Supply" button providing information of the pool you're providing liquidity in as well as your % share in the pool.

  1. A confirmation window will then be shown, make sure the values are correct before proceeding, if correct, proceed by clicking "Confirm Supply".

  1. Once you've clicked on confirm supply, a transaction prompt is brought by your wallet, sign the transaction by clicking ''Confirm".

Make sure you have gas (Native Token), else the transaction won't go through

  1. Once you've confirmed the transaction, Click on "Close". You can also choose to add the LP tokens to your Metamask.

  1. Congratulations, you have now deposited liquidity and will now start earning trading fees! You can now see your deposited LP tokens displayed on your Liquidity dashboard.
